2023 Cook County Property Tax Bills will be late AGAIN!

This can affect anyone who is or has bought or sold property in Cook Co this year.

Cook Co is notorious for delays in readying tax bills for both residential and commercial properties.

This year’s bills are *expected* to be ready on November 1st, due on December 1st. This could be a slight improvement over last year where bills were due on December 31st, 2022 (Happy Holidays!).

Historically, bills were mailed in July and due on August 1st, but this was massively delayed during Covid (during which Cook Co decided to implement new technology) and the county seemingly has not recovered.

In addition to homeowners, this creates additional problems as school districts, libraries, and other taxing bodies can’t budget accordingly.
