James I. Bernicky continued his work aiding clients achieve their dreams of homeownership, starting or improving a business and getting their estate plans in order. He continued as the Chair of the Naperville Fair Housing Commission and oversaw its transition into the new Naperville Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission. James was also invited back to NCTV17’s GAME ON All-Stars Online Edition(you’ll have to watch to see how he did as well as check out Bernicky Law Firm’s special “The Office” video!)
Maura G. Zalccontinued to head our active litigation practice throughout the pandemic, trying via Zoom in state court a construction defect case and a boundary line dispute (both wins for our clients), and in the bankruptcy court a Non-Dischargeability of Debt case (decision pending).
In addition to her litigation cases, Maura continues to handle Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy cases, and enjoys her roles as court-appointed arbitrator in the DuPage County courts, as well as Hearing Officer for the Great Lakes Region Volleyball Association.
Suzi Johnsongot a new car, became an an aunt for the first time, and experienced more Zoom sessions in one year than she had experienced in her entire life thus far!
